On 2nd October, we hosted a VIP lunch for an exclusive group of human resource executives as part of the 2018 HR Leaders Summit at the Hilton in Singapore. The annual conference gives HR professionals from organisations of all sizes around the region the opportunity to hear from industry experts and share strategies and solutions to key challenges they face.
At the luncheon, Fiona Lee, Aetna International Head of Distribution for Singapore, led a presentation exploring the types of cost containment measures that HR executives can consider implementing to add value to their organisations and gain executive support for their HR initiatives.
“HR decision-makers are constantly re-evaluating their strategies to meet the unique needs of an increasingly diverse workforce,” said Fiona. “One of our guests spoke about the increasing expectations from newer additions to the workforce, which spun off a colourful discussion on how companies are adjusting to these demands, how digitization comes into the picture, and how our solutions can help them.”
Held in a different regional Southeast Asia capital city each year, the summit provides unparalleled insights focusing on such themes as leadership, change management and employee engagement. This year, one of the hot topics was strategies for talent acquisition and retention in an era increasingly dominated by disruptive technologies.
