vHealth by Aetna recognised as Best Innovative Product 2018

vHealth by Aetna — one of Aetna’s most innovative services, transforming the way people access primary care — has recently been recognised as the “Best Innovative Medical Product of the Year” by the Times Network.

The award comes just 18 months after the launch of the customer-centric service in India.

vHealth by Aetna, which launched in May 2017, has recently been presented with the “Best Innovative Medical Product of the Year” Times Network 2018 award.

The vHealth service enables members to connect with doctors remotely, via mobile phone, tablet or laptop, and is designed to reduce the need for physical consultations. Since its launch, more than 1 million people in India have registered for the service via the app. In that time, 28,000 remote doctor consultations have successfully been carried out. And, in 78 percent of cases, the health care needs of individuals have been met without the need for a physical consultation. During service feedback opportunities, families have reported a fall in their annual health spend. As a result, vHealth has a net promotor score of +48.
