Aetna International offers two healthcare plans for companies located in Asia Pacific — the International Health care Plan for worldwide cover and Healthy AEssentials for Regional Cover. 

  • The International Healthcare Plan (IHP) is designed with the needs of globally-mobile individuals in mind. It provides the medical coverage they require, with a first-class level of service they can rely on.
  • Aetna Healthy Aessentials (AHA) is for groups seeking comprehensive regional coverage. Its coverage levels and benefits are highly flexible — We’ll help you add, remove and upgrade benefits to manage costs.

Mainland China

Through our partnerships with China Life and Huatai, we offer multiple plans, each offering a varying level of benefits — from inpatient treatment, to options including comprehensive outpatient benefits. Enhanced coverage is also available, which includes routine pregnancy, dental, optical and wellness benefits.

  • IHP provides a range of coverage options, including major medical treatment, specialist consultations, General Practitioner fees, routine health care management, pharmacy, maternity and dental coverage, and emergency assistance services. Members and covered dependents also have the flexibility to obtain medical treatment at the facility of their choice, around the globe.
  • There are four different plan types available, each offering a varying level of benefits — from inpatient treatment to options including comprehensive outpatient benefits. Enhanced coverage is also available which includes routine pregnancy, dental, optical and wellness benefits. Certain benefits and benefit levels can be customized.
  • AHA can be tailored to cover particular groups or sub-groups differently. AHA benefit options include out-of-region cover, evacuation, co-pays and coinsurance. You also have the choice of four network provider levels to help manage premium costs.
