Aetna is officially on WeChat!

On 29th November 2018, the Aetna team in China launched an Aetna IPMI WeChat account. With the popularity of the WeChat app in the country, this is a big step forward for the China team in building the Aetna brand among local audiences.

What is WeChat?

Since its launch in 2011, WeChat has evolved from a basic messaging tool to an all-in-one super portal, with more than 900 million active users monthly. WeChat is commonly regarded as China's ‘app for everything’ and a ‘super app’ because of its wide range of functions and platforms - including messaging, shopping, bill payments, gaming, news alerts, blogs, taxi hailing, appointment bookings, hotel and restaurant reservations and more.

About the IPMI WeChat account

Over just two days, our first post has attracted over 1,600 views and over 400 followers, purely through internal and partner promotion. To build our base of followers, a calendar of content has been planned in the coming weeks and months - providing followers with updates on the business and articles to build our status as a thought leader in employee benefits and workplace wellness.
