Aetna confirms sponsorship of Wellbeing at Work Event, Dubai

We’re proudly sponsoring the first Wellbeing at Work Event of the year, which will be held in Dubai on 3rd March.  The full-day event, which is returning to Dubai for the fourth consecutive year, brings together HR, Benefit, Reward and Business Leaders with experts and peers from across the globe. The event provides attendees with an opportunity to learn about and discuss the latest wellbeing and mental health developments enhancing individual and organisational performance in the Middle East region.

Aetna International’s EMEA CEO, David Healy, will be hosting a lunchtime leadership round table discussion. Stimulus for the debate will focus on our recent proprietary surveys of 4000 global workers, which identified that while 70% of employers believe they provide good access to health and wellness benefits and support, only 23% of employees agree.

In a second survey, we also discovered that despite employees reporting high levels of concern about their health and well-being, there are low levels of knowledge of their own health status, motivation to change their health-related behaviours and action taken to maintain their physical, mental and emotional health.

We’ll be investigating why more than 1 in 3 workers worry about their health but do not visit a GP, why empowering employees to take charge of their health is essential for business performance and what employers can do to support change, increase employee well-being and improve business performance.

In the morning, Marco Bannerman, Executive Director - Distribution, MEA, will join a distinguished panel in a debate about Wellbeing as an Integral Part of Culture and Employee Experience.

The event will take place on 3rd March, at Dubai Marina, Al Marsa Street, Dubai, UAE, from 08:00 – 18:00. Places are limited. For more information, please email chris.cummings@sonasevents.com.
