At the Races: Our first virtual broker event

We had hoped to hold our summer Health Matters Forum 2020 at Epsom Races, combining a business update and guest speakers with the chance to watch some live horse racing. Unfortunately, that was not to be.

However, we firmly believe that staying connected is vital, especially at the moment, so our innovative team came up with a way of carrying out the event virtually instead.

On 2nd July 2020, brokers were able to network with colleagues, peers and the Aetna team throughout the day using a virtual conference room. With a focus on well-being and performance, the agenda included the latest news and updates from Aetna, as well as presentations from guest speakers; Track Record, who specialise in resilience coaching, double Olympic medalist Hannah MacLeod MBE, and Rob Stephenson, the mental health campaigner. There was plenty of time to network with colleagues, peers and our team too, which was followed by some exciting virtual horse racing.

Brokers were also given the chance to learn more about how to improve their own well-being and performance, by wearing one of Track Record’s heart rate variability monitors for three consecutive days before the forum. The results of these were shared with the individuals in a report, with ideas on areas to improve and maintain their energy and health.
