Bringing new ‘energy’ to the second phase of Aetna International’s brand awareness campaign in EMEA

In December 2018, our Europe marketing team launched an integrated brand awareness campaign across the EMEA region. The objective was to show how we’re delivering on our mission to improve health across the globe by taking a wider view of what keeping people healthy really means. As we move into the campaign’s second phase, the team is focusing on raising awareness in key industries, starting with the energy sector.

What we believe: Changing health care for the energy sector

"The energy sector was one of the first industries to prompt expats around the globe to relocate abroad," explains Andy O’cain, Aetna International Sales Director. "Today, it's one of the world’s largest markets and it relies heavily on an expat workforce. When we’re talking about health care for this market, it's not just the front-line drilling, building and mining positions; it's all the other vital day-to-day jobs, too."

A lot of work went on behind the scenes to understand what matters to our energy clients and how we’ve helped them build healthier communities within their global workforces. This yielded several campaign messages designed to illustrate that we believe in:

• Being there no matter what
• Lighting the way wherever the sector goes next
• Providing the right care at the right time
• Stepping in sooner before the little things become real problems

Keep an eye out for our presence in key energy-specific media including EurOil (Europe Oil & Gas Monitor), AfrOil (Africa Oil & Gas Monitor), Oil & Gas Middle East and Petroleum Economist throughout this quarter and beyond.
