InsideOut LeaderBoard

With a passion for prioritising employee well-being, Aetna recently sponsored the InsideOut LeaderBoard 2020. This event celebrates leaders who are open about their mental health and who encourage others in their organisation to speak out.

Dedicated to smashing the stigma around mental health, this was a very moving and inspiring occasion. The event was characterised by honest conversations, authentic connections and a powerful photography exhibition using imagery to explore role models’ journeys with their mental health.

During the event, Damian Lenihan, Executive Director – Europe, shared insights from our recent report on how technology is impacting people’s well-being, while Andy O’Cain, European Sales Director, spoke about how we help our own employees stay connected through initiatives such as ‘Let’s Get Talking’. This is a virtual get-together that we have run internally across our regions during the COVID-19 pandemic, for employees to pause, reflect, connect, share and be updated on our latest business news.

Vicky Dymoke, Marketing Director, Europe, comments: ‘We were proud to sponsor and speak at this event, and be part of such an important conversation around positive mental health. During an uncertain time, it’s important to learn how to spot the cues when colleagues are not ok, increase emotional intelligence and adopt best practices. The content and discussions were insightful, and the willingness of everyone to participate honestly and openly was inspiring. Overall, it was a great opportunity to network, connect and contribute to the highest standards of employee well-being, something at the heart of Aetna International.’
