Aetna International and key sector brokers examine the future of health care in the Americas

Between 5th and 7th March 2019, Aetna International joined forces with 20 influential brokers in the Americas to evaluate the opportunities and threats in the market with a common goal in mind; helping people and organisations alike achieve better health and performance outcomes. Held in Napa Valley, California, broker partners also learned more about CVS and the 2019 strategy and what it means for Aetna International members.

Around the world, a remarkable transformation is happening in health care. During the recent three-day broker event in Napa Valley, CA, Mike Delamere, General Manager of the Americas, Aetna International, commented, “The annual forum is an excellent occasion for us to connect with our brokers and to hear from them on trends they see in the marketplace.

“In the face of ageing populations and worsening chronic conditions, health care organisations must continue to reimagine reimbursement models, embrace consumer demand and innovate in local communities as well as the digital space. This event is the ideal forum to discuss these opportunities with our valued partners.”

Senior leaders were able to showcase the HealthHUB® stores in Houston, TX, to show how CVS and Aetna plan to help members get and stay healthy on a one-stop shop. Aetna leaders also presented the Aetna’s global agenda to improve the customer experience by reworking our digital resources and operations from billing to member services. Meanwhile, small group fireside chats gave the opportunity for brokers to ask questions, share what they hear in the marketplace about our strategic priorities and compliant solutions.

Outside of the general sessions, attendees had the opportunity to learn about the Napa Valley winery and hospitality industry while enjoying an exclusive dinner inside a wine cave. The event also gave everyone the opportunity to develop business relationships to enrich the way we work with one another.
