In Asia, for Asia: A milestone broker appreciation event in Hong Kong
Our November 14th broker appreciation night in Hong Kong was especially memorable as we celebrated obtaining our operating license to meet the growing needs of the local population. Held at the Hotel VIC on the Harbour, the event represented yet another way to thank our valued brokers for their support while marking an exciting milestone in our efforts to expand our reach across Asia.
The evening was one of several held this year with the overarching theme, 'In Asia, for Asia' — cementing our commitment to tailoring products and services to members, customers and the brokers who serve them throughout the region.
"Obtaining our own Hong Kong license will further expand our operations and enhance our local capabilities," said Kevin Jones, Chief Executive Officer of Hong Kong. "I am proud of the efforts the team has made to bring this all together and we’re excited about the potential that Hong Kong presents."
Southeast Asia and Hong Kong General Manager Derek Goldberg also shared with everyone in attendance our mission to provide a 'total approach' proposition that addresses member health and wellness holistically. The event in Hong Kong attracted over 80 brokers in joining us to celebrate our milestone together, it was an evening full of conversation over cocktails, canapes, a spectacular sunset view of the Hong Kong skyline and some fun photobooth time.
Through special events like these, we’re able to enhance the strong relationships we’ve developed with brokers across the globe. It's important to recognise the vital role they play in our growth, our new business efforts, and our strong business retention record in 2018.
