Americas’ first virtual producer forum event

In light of the ongoing global pandemic, Americas’ traditional in-person events were canceled for last year and for the foreseeable future. However, we firmly believe that staying connected is vital and we’re excited to find new ways to engage virtually with our brokers this year.

On February 16^th, 2021, the Americas’ team held our first Virtual Producer Seminar Series event. We welcomed our producers to a packed agenda focusing on COVID-19, the vaccine rollout and our well-being resources to support emotional well-being and mental health. Over 40 producers joined us for this event, with dedicated time at the end for them to network with their peers and our team.

The forum included the latest news and updates from Aetna, as well as presentations from guest speakers; Dr. Steven Serra, the Executive Director of Physician Consulting for CVS Health, Smriti Joshi, Lead Clinical Psychologist at Wysa & Tele-Psychotherapy Expert, and Rob Stephenson, the mental health campaigner.

Dr. Serra discussed the critical role that Aetna and CVS Health play in the U.S. vaccination rollout, including supporting the distribution and administration of the COVID-19 vaccination in long-term care facilities and CVS pharmacies.

Producers were also given an overview of our Aetna Mind program. A component of Aetna Well-being, Aetna Mind is a new avenue for members to better navigate their well-being and to take a holistic approach in supporting emotional well-being and mental health. Finally, producers were given the chance to learn more about how to improve their own well-being and reduce anxiety through our partnership with Wysa, a mental health support app. We’re now offering all our producers free access to Wysa. Details on how you can download it can be found here.
