vHealth: No waiting rooms. No travel. No worries.

We know that coronavirus (COVID-19) concerns may be putting you off visiting doctors’ offices at the moment.

Virtual health (vHealth) services can help by bringing the doctor to you without the need to visit an office. Whether you’re worried about COVID-19 or have other medical concerns, vHealth allows you to speak with a doctor about any aspect of your health.

vHealth doctors are specially trained to conduct remote consultations and provide the guidance and support you need, whether it’s a diagnosis, help managing a chronic condition or even providing a prescription+. All this can be done over the phone or, in some cases, via a video consultation. And, booking a vHealth appointment is quick and easy.

With vHealth, you don’t have to worry about catching or spreading infection, or even leaving your home. The service is completely confidential, available in multiple languages and free to use as often as you like.

As the number of COVID-19 cases continues to rise, we are fully committed to supporting the health and well-being of all Aetna members. So, effective immediately, all fully insured Aetna International members will have free access to our virtual health service, vHealth, for a limited time*. Consultations will take place over the phone or, in some cases, via a video consultation, and will be completely confidential; no sensitive medical data will be shared with Aetna International or its clients.

Accessing vHealth

If you’re already registered for our vHealth service, continue to use the service in the normal way. If you haven’t registered, then you’ll need to contact your employer about how to register. We have recently contacted all our clients, reminding them of existing services and the details of our free vHealth offer to all fully insured members at this time.

If your employer needs more information about our vHealth services, they should contact their Aetna Account Manager who will be able to help.

We believe vHealth is one of the ways we can best support you in these challenging times. By minimizing both travel and face-to-face contact we can help reduce the risk of catching or spreading infections like COVID-19, keeping you and others safe and well.
