Changes to WorldAware benefits in 2021
Following a review of our partner benefits, we will be removing WorldAware on-the-ground assistance and evacuation support (also knowns as ActionResponse) from our new business and renewal quotes as of 1 January 2021.
Need-to-knows:
- Quotes already agreed to for policy dates commencing 1 January to 31 March 2021 will include WorldAware on-the-ground assistance and evacuation support, up until their next renewal before 1 April 2022.*
- Plan sponsors that want to continue receiving evacuation benefits can be introduced to WorldAware for direct purchase and will be able to take advantage of Aetna’s special negotiated rates.
- We will continue to offer WorldAware’s non-evacuation assistance services (previously known as red24’s AdviceLine) to our existing eligible policyholders under the new name ‘Aetna sSecurity aAssistance powered by WorldAware’.
All of these changes refer to non-medical evacuation services only. Medical evacuation services are unaffected by these changes.
