Two new health resource hubs launched to support mental wellness and musculoskeletal health

The increased numbers of employees working from home due to the pandemic is raising a spotlight on two major health issues — mental wellness and musculoskeletal health. To support our members, we’ve developed a compilation of tools and guides on these topics.

Mental health support: Depression affects 322 million people of all ages and is the leading cause of disability worldwide. Anxiety is nearly as prevalent, affecting 264 million people men, women and children. Both conditions can be treated successfully, but too many individuals suffer in silence.

To help inform, inspire and support our plan sponsors and members year-round, we have developed a suite of new resources designed to help people better take care of their mental health and well-being. The message is simple: Take a moment to discover, to breathe and to heal.

Together, we can make a difference in addressing debilitating mental health issues.

World Spine Day support: Musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) and conditions are among the top five health conditions that drive costs for employers. Employers need to consider thoughtful intervention and to make a concerted effort to inform, inspire and support people towards making healthier choices.

We’ve created a page that outlines the tools and resources available to Aetna International members — both self-help and professional services.
